History; Winetac was the peak body for learning and skill development within the Australian grape and wine industry. It was funded and managed by industry for industry, being driven by a volunteer board of industry people representing employers and employees across all grape and wine producing states. The Winetac vision was that by 2010 a learning culture will be embedded as a key factor in strengthening the competitive advantage of the Australian grape and wine industry. Winetac was committed to strengthening the learning culture of the Australian grape and wine industry by pursuing two goals:

1. An increased commitment to learning and skill development within the Australian grape and wine industry;
2. An increased return on investment in learning and skill development to the Australian grape and wine industry.
