CRCV Talking Technology
Tuesday 19th July 2005
10am - 5.30pm
Stamford Plaza
150 North Terrace, Adelaide
About the seminar:
Australian wine is recognised both internationally and domestically as being of consistently high quality.
There is little doubt that the future growth of the Australian wine industry will be based on providing wine consumers worldwide with increasingly higher value for money across the spectrum of wine styles and prices.
Wine quality is essentially a reflection of consumer preference and winemakers and grapegrowers are focusing on the key grape varieties and the 'qualities' that are necessary for preferred wine styles.
Achieving wine quality is a complex but achievable task.
A diverse group of speakers from industry and CRCV research programs will look at the many elements of objective measurement of grape and wine quality.
The one-day seminar will cover everything from consumer preferences and the impact of region on price and quality perceptions, through to commercial wine grading techniques, the use of colour as a commercial quality factor and the development of a quality index for vineyards.
It will be held the day before WineTech 2005 begins at the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds to allow people to maximise their time in Adelaide.
The seminar has been developed for small to medium winery owners and operators, winemakers, liaison officers and winery technical personnel.
